The Central government of india is going to be conducting Teacher Eligibility Test from this year 2011, in the name of CTET – 2011.Candidates those who are done B.Ed Degree will no longer be enough to become a school teacher. Aspirants will now have to clear an eligibility test with at least 60% to be able to teach at any private or government schools.
The teacher eligibility test (TET) will be conducted once a year separately by the state government and the centre. Validity of the qualifying certificate will be decided by the state government, union territory or centre, subjects to the condition that it cannot be more than seven years. NCTE on Friday issued detailed guidelines for TET. In the next few weeks may states are going to start the recruitment process.
