मेडिकल साझा परीक्षा जल्द शुरू करना चाहता है केंद्र

नई दिल्ली, जागरण ब्यूरो : सुप्रीम कोर्ट से इसी महीने मिली हरी झंडी के बाद स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय इस प्रयास में जुट गया है कि मेडिकल की साझा प्रवेश परीक्षा अगले सत्र से ही लागू की जा सके। इसीलिए राज्यों के स्वास्थ्य मंत्रियों की बैठक जनवरी में बुलाई गई है। बैठक के दौरान केंद्र सरकार ग्रामीण डॉक्टरी के पाठ्यक्रम बीआरएचसी पर भी राज्यों को साथ लेने की कोशिश करेगी। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के सूत्रों के मुताबिक स्वास्थ्य मंत्रियों और सचिवों की बैठक अब 12-13 जनवरी को हैदराबाद में बुलाई जा रही है। पहले इसे 30-31 जनवरी को बेंगलूर में होना था। लेकिन अगले पाठ्यक्रम के दाखिले में ज्यादा समय न होने की वजह से केंद्र इस पर जल्दी फैसला लेना चाहता है। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय चाहता है कि अगर सिर्फ केंद्र और राज्य के सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेजों के लिए भी साझा दाखिला प्रक्रिया शुरू हो जाए तो यह एक बड़ी उपलब्धि होगी। मेडिकल काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया के मूल प्रस्ताव में यह राष्ट्रीय पात्रता सह प्रवेश परीक्षा (एनईईटी) प्राइवेट कॉलेजों पर भी समान रूप से लागू होने की बात की गई है। लेकिन प्राइवेट कॉलेजों के मामले में भी केंद्र राज्यों की सहमति के आधार पर ही कोई कदम उठाना चाहता है। छात्रों को अभी प्राइवेट कॉलेजों के अलावा राज्य सरकारों के मेडिकल कॉलेजों के लिए भी अलग-अलग दाखिला परीक्षा देनी होती है।
